Gabriel James
Obstetrician
Dr Gabriel James has always had a passion for helping mothers to birth their babies in a safe and secure environment. Throughout his training to become a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist his priority has always been to recognise the wishes of the woman who is his patient and offer her a holistic approach regarding her health.
Over the last 10 years he has worked in some of the busiest tertiary maternity hospitals in Australia including the Gold Coast University Hospital and Mater Mothers’ Hospital. During this time, he has cared for many women and their newborn babies.
Gabriel has spent seven summers volunteering his medical and construction skills across the world including stints in Fiji, the Philippines, Tonga, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and in several remote Australian Indigenous communities.
He is approachable, calm in a crisis and an excellent listener (according to his wife and three children!). He takes great joy in being part of the journey of a woman and her family.
